AsiaSoft Cracking Down On Home-Run MapleStory Servers

  • MapleStory's Singapore distributor looks to cut down on the rash of home-run pirate servers, like a plucky teen take the realm of big-headed platform battles into his or her own bedroom.

A story from The Straits Times concentrates on 16-year-old Sean Lee, who runs a pirate server outside of his bedroom, allowing players to gain MapleStory 2 Mesos access to the pay portions of the experience without actually paying. Needless to say, pirate servers are incredibly popular using the kids.

'Some components of games are rare and impossible to get around the official server,' said 15-year-old Melissa Ong. 'On a non-public server, I get the opportunity to obtain it and test drive it out.'

Apparently someone is missing the purpose here. Either way, plucky you aren't, Sean Lee's server is usually not long for life.

'We are now working with developers to do this against the companies of private servers,' said Mr Ng Kok Khwang, marketing director of AsiaSoft Online.

Lee states when he gets a warning letter he's going to shut down immediately, though he worries about letting his community down. I'm not sure if I needs to be proud of his dedication or upset concerning the whole law-breaking thing. By the way, if you are interested to buy Cheap MapleStory 2 Mesos, stay tuned for more at mmoah.
